twoCalc
Want an easy-to-use two-line calculator with just the features you need? Then twoCalc, the $2, 2-line calculator, is for you!
With twoCalc you get to see your
calculation as you enter it and edit it if you make a mistake.
Even better, your calculations are stored on an internal "tape" that you can access at any time. Recall a previous
calculation or result by just tapping on it, or send the entire tape by email.
TwoCalc doesn't have all the advanced scientific functions of
some calculators (although it does have some), but rather stresses a clean, usable interface for the types of calculations you do most often. And if you don't
like the colors or sounds, you can even change them!
Features
- Separate calculation and results lines
- Keep track of the calculation that you entered. Edit the calculation if you entered it incorrectly.
- Easy-to-use
- Large keys with optional audible feedback. When run on smaller screens (such as the Pixi), keys dynamically resize to fit the screen.
- Operator precedence
- Properly handles operator precedence: multiplication and division come before addition and subtraction. 1+2*3 = 7, not 9!
- Customizable colors and sounds
- You can choose from a variety of sounds (or none) for the key presses. You can choose the colors of the keys and the calculator itself.
- Vibrate on keypress
- As of v1.1, you can select an option to make your phone vibrate slightly on every keypress.
- Calculator tape
- Records each calculation and result. Tape length adjustable up to 99 entries. Send the tape via email.
- Keyboard entry
- Use the physical keyboard as well as the on-screen keyboard to enter numbers and operators. (Not available in twoCalcFree.)
- Simple scientific functions
- Square root and basic trigonometry functions are supported
- Unit Conversions
- Conversions for the basic imperial and metric measurements are built in.
- Hex/Binary/Decimal conversion
- Easily convert between number bases.
- Two's complement form
- When in hex or binary modes, optionally displays negative numbers in two's complement form, with a user-specified word size.
- 10-position memory
- Retains up to 10 numbers in "permanent" memory. The numbers stored in memory are retained between calculator sessions.
- Rapid recall
- When not in hex mode, the letter keys immediately recall from the first 6 memory slots.
- Assignable function keys.
- If you don't need instant access to 6 memory slots, you can re-assign one or all of the letter keys to be any of the scientific functions or unit conversions. (Not available in twoCalcFree.)
- Formula storage
- Special function allows you to store a full or partial formula to one of the 10 memory slots. This can be used for
quick "constant" calculations. For example, if you want to add 115 to a list of numbers, you could store "115+" in memory, then
quickly recall that part of the formula and just enter the number you want to add to it.
