roll-a-doodle FAQ

- How do I erase my doodle?
- Shake your phone. Or turn the phone over so that it's face down. Note that the phone only recognizes that it's face down when it's face-down
and pretty level, so shaking is generally easier.
- How do these memory slots work?
- When you exit the doodle screen, your doodle will automatically be saved in the memory slot that was selected on the
first screen.
- Why do you say I should always backswipe to the main screen?
- Saving your doodle may take a few seconds. In testing we found that if you simply return to card view and then close the
app while still in the doodle screen, roll-a-doodle will try to save the doodle, but the operation may not complete. Or it may--it
depends on how big the doodle is, how busy your phone is doing other things, a butterfly flapping its wings in China, and other
random things we're not aware of. So to be sure it saved, simply return to the main screen and wait a second before closing the app.
- So does that mean that my current doodle will always overwrite what is in the selected memory slot?
- Yes. Yes it does.
- It might be handy to have more than 2 memory slots.
- Yes it might. Upgrade to roll-a-doodle+ to get 10 memory slots.
- Can I get rid of those ads?
- Yes, upgrade to roll-a-doodle+! Look for the 99 cent roll-a-doodle+ in the app catalog. (Price and availability may vary outside of US.)
- What is this roll-a-doodle+ you speak of?
- Roll-a-doodle+ is the paid ($.99) version of the app. In the + version you get a few more pixels to draw on because it doesn't
contain ads. It also has 10 memory slots and the preferences are unlocked. If you just want to use the free version, we're cool
with that. If you support us with the $.99, we think you should get something more than "no ads", hence the extras.

- Can I move the ball without drawing a line?
- Yes, tap the screen to bring up the drawing preferences and change the opacity to zero.
- Can I save my masterpiece as an image?
- Not directly from roll-a-doodle, but you can use the screen capture capability that's built-in to webOS. Press P while
holding the Orange (or Gray) and Sym keys. You will find the screen shot in the photos app under "Screen captures". Before
trying to take the screen capture you may want to set the line opacity to 0% and (if you have roll-a-doodle+), hide
the ball.
- How do I change the background color?
- (roll-a-doodle+ only) From the main screen, select Preferences in the application menu at the top left corner of the screen.
Note that the background color is not saved with the doodle. Drawings and backgrounds are separate.
- Can I hide the ball?
- (roll-a-doodle+ only) Yes, select the Preferences menu item from the application menu on the main screen.
- When I tap the screen to enter the drawing preferences it seems like the sliders are in the wrong place.
- Strange, but possibly true. We had some reports of that during testing, but have been unable to isolate the circumstances
under which it appears. In any event, simply drag the slider to the correct value. And if you figure out how to consistently
recreate the problem, we'd love to hear from you!
- Can I offer a suggestion?
- Certainly! We're always eager to hear feedback and will consider all comments for future enhancements. We can't commit to
any particular feature in any particular timeframe, but we're more likely to include features that we know people want. Send us
